Where in the world have cars from AnB classic cars showroom ended up?   AnB classics , http://anbclassics.com , has sold to 44 states and 12 countries to date.  A 57 Ford Fairlane retractable shipped to Istanbul Turkey, a 1964 Corvette arrived in Germany, and a 1937 Studebaker is being driven around the Netherlands.  As well as a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 being cared for in Costa Rica.  Also many cars sold at major auctions.
One such event was the time at Barrett Jackson classic car auction in Scottsdale .  Dan Honahan has been across the stage many times but one funny story was the time he brought a friend on stage with him.  It was a dream for this older guy to be in a car going across the stage as he had watched it on TV for years.  Well as they drove the car up on the stage and the top down was going down on the convertible  the older guy said he had a problem.  The problem he said was that he couldn’t get out of the car.  Now there are TV camera guys all around the car and a big boom camera scanning the car above you . So when he was asked why, he said he was so excited he may have wet himself.  Oh well thank god the car had plastic seat covers on.  #truestory

That New Car Smell #thatnewcarsmell

A recent phone call let us know about some old cars that were for sale.
Now I have been in some remote storage places for cars. But in over 25 years buying and selling this one may have been the worst smelling!! Before entering we were told we may want to put on a mask and some gloves as there had been raccoons living in this location.  We ran to a hardware store and got the necessary supplies.  Sitting in the back of the so called building were 2 , 1940's era cars that sure looked solid but to get to them out a wall would probably have to come down due to additions being added over the years.  We climbed over old chairs, wood timbers and boxes of what looked to be old grain sacks.  I moved a large box and the bottom fell out and the smell was hitting me like a ton of bricks as it was a Condo for 100's of generations of mice.
We finally got to the 1st car and got the door open and once again the smell was overwhelming . This time it was a mold smell. There were boxes of old papers and log and record books inside from the '60's .  Well anyway we got to see what we needed to see and maybe some time in the future we will be able to retrieve these solid relics once are sense of smell recovers or leaves us.
Longing for that new car smell !!
